Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
On a daily basis, I manage rotas, lead team briefings, monitor sales and performance, and ensure all units are operating efficiently and in line with food safety and company standards. I also support, coach, and develop my team to maintain high levels of service and performance.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
I particularly value the practical elements, as I can apply what I learn immediately in my role, making it both relevant and beneficial to my development.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I’ve strengthened my leadership and communication skills, particularly in how I adapt my approach to different team members and situations. I’ve also improved my ability to analyse performance data and make more informed decisions.
In addition, I’ve developed skills in conflict management, coaching, and stakeholder communication, which have had a positive impact on how I manage my team and daily operations.

How well organised/structured is your programme?
Each module builds on the previous one, making it easy to follow and apply in my role. The sessions, resources, and deadlines are clear, which helps me stay on track and manage my workload alongside my day-to-day responsibilities.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
They provide me with the time and flexibility to complete my learning, as well as ongoing guidance and feedback. I’m also supported through regular check-ins, which help me link my development to my role and apply what I learn in practice.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
They provide clear guidance, structured sessions, and useful resources that help me understand each topic. I also have regular check-ins and feedback, which support my progress and ensure I stay on track with my qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
It has improved my leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, and helped me better understand how to manage performance and support my team. I’m able to apply what I learn in practice, which has had a positive impact on how I run operations and drive results.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
These include team social events, company-led initiatives, and occasional networking opportunities within the wider organisation. These activities help build team morale, strengthen relationships, and support personal and professional development outside of day-to-day operations.
