Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role was at a Data Science, Analytics Intern, interning in Product Analytics and Experimentation. So the department I worked in assisted in A/B Testing for Expedia improvements. Day to day, I would work with statistical software, such as Excel, SQL and Adobe Analytics, to get insightful and impactful data that would assist Product Managers with what they're working on.

I was given my own project, which was actually impactful to the business.

I have learnt new skills, such as creating and producing visualisations on Adobe Analytics. I also developed my existing skill in SQL.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
From my manager, navigator and the wider team, I was given so much support! They were always willing to set up a call to explain things and go through things I had been working on. I was able to work individually knowing that guidance was available if I needed it.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The people at Expedia are amazing! Everyone is happy and always willing to have a conversation with you! There is always the opportunity to interact with people in other areas as the business, as there are frequent socials, company events, etc.
