Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

This programme is rotational which allows you to move into various departments building your skills across many sectors. I am been within the Risk and Client Services teams so far. My day to day varies but I am working with many banks/regulators gaining insight on different products and speaking to clients finding solutions to their queries about the problems are they using. The studying aspect of the apprenticeship is very well structured and you receive a university coach to help you along the way.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed many different skills such as client engagement skills,presentation, communication and various software skills. It was also increased my ability to adapt and reinforce areas where I previous were weaker in.
With all the different rotations you unlock different communication and analytical skills. There are many experiences where you will get exposure to senior team members and learn presentation skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The structure is very good as it allows amble time to maintain your working and studying areas. You will recieve a study day to complete your learning and attend various workshops and lectures.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

There are many catch-ups with team members, manager and university coach.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We get a university coach who is free to help answer questions about the learning and exams.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Yes we get feedback on our weekly work and after with our exams we get feedback on how we can develop.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there are various social events and different sport teams like run clubs,football and previously there was padel.
