Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My job from day to day varies from booking freelancers into our systems to ensuring training is complete in my department, sorting out kit for new joiners, facilitating the movement into new systems and running the Fire Warden and First Aid admin for the department.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy my programme, I have learnt so many new skills and have had the opportunity to meet so many new people through the socials hosted, the large apprentice community and day to day work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes I have learnt many new skills, from being able to use new systems, better communication with others, gaining confidence in speaking in front of people and working independently on my own projects.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is well structured with good communication between my employer and the University.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my employer. They have a really good apprentice schemes team who are super helpful and set up catch ups with us to make sure everything is going well in our apprenticeship. Along with this, my manager is very supportive and always helps me to reach my gaols as an apprentice.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My programme is very well structured, we have contacts for everyone we may need help from in University and have a webinar every Wednesday along with pre learning to complete to help in this webinar and work to complete on our study day after the session.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I feel although my qualification helps me in my roll. Some of the content we cover at University isn't relevant to the work that I do - although it is still interesting.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes there are lots of social events within my work. As well as networking events available to us with other employers.

Would you recommend BBC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think that the BBC is a great first place to work, it has an exciting environment that is ever changing and their apprenticeship programme is amazing with lots of support and friendly faces!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BBC?
I would research about the company and know the BBC Values which are a core part in everything we do and finally just be your authentic self.
