Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I work in the enterprise side of Pearson, managing relationships between different business units and our go-to-market strategy.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoyed my program in Level 7 Systems Thinking Dynamics - it was challenging at first, but as I started to practice and use what I was learning in the work environment, i was able to analyze and help team approach challenges in a different way. Pearson supported my learning immensely, by giving me the opportunity to shape my role in a way that was system thinking focussed - finding ways to help my team and the wider department work for effectively together.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes - I learnt Systems Thinking methodologies, how to approach messy, ill-defined situations and how to manage stakeholders in a complex environment.
I also learnt how to lead different workshop sessions, and started using new tools like Mural

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very! Everything was planned, and there was a lot of support offered by JGA
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer was very supportive throughout the apprenticeship - I got support from the apprenticeship team, my manager and mentor. I am grateful for the support, as it was vital for my progress and growth during my apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Super supportive. Very grateful
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I work remotely, but yes there are online event options

Yes
Why?
Pearson have been a great employer for me, supporting my career growth in many ways - including 2 apprenticeship programs! I feel very grateful for the support and opportunities i have had to upskill myself and apply what i learn to my day to day job.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pearson?
At Pearson, we believe in ¨lifelong learning - the advice I would give is to express your interests: how and what you want to learn more about - and the finding areas where your skills can be developed and practiced through your role is the sweet spot!
