Overall, how would you describe your experience at Compass group?
Overall i would highly recomed a job with compass group. I have worked for compass for all most 10 years now and slowly worked my way up the carer ladder.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Staff Management & Allocation: Deploying staff, managing shift rotas, sickness absence, and return-to-work interviews.
Operational Coordination: Organizing the transfer of patients, blood products, medical records, laundry, and specimens.
Safety and Compliance: Ensuring teams follow safety procedures for handling hazardous materials, clinical waste, and medical gases.
Communication & Support: Using management software, radio, and phones to prioritize requests and respond to emergencies.
Training & Auditing: Delivering staff training, performing appraisals, and conducting service audits.
Problem Resolution: Addressing complaints promptly and ensuring high-quality service to staff and patients

I belive a lot of my role is preparing for my future carer as not only am i doing the office work but also interacting with the stackholders which is key to having a good repore with them and my staff as they know me.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

My line manager and assist manger are very helpful and setting new task of something a may not have done before helping me learn new skills and strenghen the skills i have allready learnt.

The support i recived was good a had a lot of meetings with my line manager and he has offerd a lot of advice.

My work life balance could be better. This is sometimes my own doing as i reply to urget emails so they dont get missed.

The atmosphere in the work place is genral good the staff get on well.

While working here the amount of training we have done for these and we have zero tolarance on people bullying other people.

the company is good to work for and in a hospital enviroment will be a steady job to be in.

The person that recruited me talk a lot about what is required in the job role and now when hiring staff i try and do the same.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Compass group?
in the line of work we do. My tip would be to practice walking a lot as our job is very active.
