I am in my first year of my apprenticeship to become a maths teacher. Within this year, my role is a teaching assistant and I deliver parts of lessons during a team teaching.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy working with the students and the staff are very supportive and helpful. The university to work balance is good and I feel like I benefit a lot from both sides.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned lots of new skills such as behaviour management and general ways of teaching. Discovery Academy deliver plenty of CPD sessions - provided the trainees with weekly sessions.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

With this being the first year this apprenticeship has been launched, sometimes there are some issues I have experienced such as the university and the workplace not effectively communicated between each other. However, I am a course representative and have had plenty of opportunities to provide feedback.
