Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role as a technology graduate within the cybersecurity pathway entailed assurance work within the group enterprise level of cybersecurity initiatives; creating approved technology agnostic cloud security architecture for organisational units to process sensitive cybersecurity data, automation workflows for cybersecurity admin, cloud infrastructure migration projects and information security metrics assurance for achieving our strategic security goals.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy working here at Bupa as a technology graduate. I feel as though I get the professional support I need for navigating the business from my peers and senior management, as well as pastoral support for wellbeing. Managing the university course alongside workplace initiatives has been manageable through self-planning a meticulous and concrete schedule, with the help of my department. I feel as though the experience I have gained throughout this programme in the workplace, and the formalisation of this experience through KSB criteria completion has shaped me into being a more confident, apt professional within the realm of cybersecurity. I thoroughly recommend this programme to graduates who are seeking to level up their working experience within technical domains in an inclusive, agile and cutting edge workplace environment as Bupa provides.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have gained a wealth of skills; professional soft skills, technical skills, company domain expertise, presentation skills, networking skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme structure is based on MMUs university programme schedule which runs for 2 years; knowledge of navigating corporate/business environments is taught from the ground up in the information systems and DT modules, enabling those who have no experience to feel confident with operating in a business immediately. The programme enables degree apprentices to shine in their pathways by providing flexible assignments which are tailored to pathways and individual contributions to work projects.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer is incredibly helpful with any concerns with navigating the workplace, completion of deliverables which even extends to pastoral support during this programme. Bupa's culture cultivates inclusivity and wellbeing which helps so much during the completion of the programme, as students are reminded that employers are always there to support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider provides adequate support for my university course during lectures, practicals (labs) and assignement guidance. I feel as though they are very supportive and attentive to the needs of degree apprentices in all of the modules taught.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification helps me to formalise the training I recieve in the workplace to fast track myself into becoming a more confident, and technically apt individual in the workplace. The structure of KSBs are tailored towards shaping graduates into becoming seasoned professionals in the workplace - all traits of success are provided as clear criteria.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are a wealth of extra-curricular activities provided - e.g. volunteering initiatives involving healthy cities, conference meetings are available and scheduled by Bupa for employees.
