Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As a Finance and Governance placement student, I supported teams processes and projects mainly within the financial space. Day-to-day would involve team and stakeholder calls, working on excel spreadsheets and any other systems and platforms involved in these process.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
As the placement, I was given a sufficient amount of responsibility. Enough to understand the importance of your job and that other people relied on your work in order to move forward.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have developed a range of skills both technical and soft skills. Mainly growing in my excel capabilities and learning how to use new software. I also developed a range of teamwork, networking, stakeholder management and communication skills which stood out the most to me.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I received an positively overwhelming amount of support throughout my placement. I had support from both my line managers and team, specific to the work I was doing as well as from the early career's team helping with wellbeing and helping to connect me with other placements and grads.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
A very lovely and friendly work culture. Everyone was willing to help one another which really stood out to me as a business.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I fully enjoyed my placement. It was joy coming into work everyday. It was hard to see and meet all the people that I wanted to due to the refurbishment half way through the year but it was manageable.
