Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

In my role I have gained experience in content creation, social media strategy and campaign analytics - all while advocating the power of apprenticeships across London. My role involves managing the planning, promotion and delivery of campaigns and events across the network. Working alongside stakeholders ensuring the smooth running of events and meeting network targets.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoyed the flexibility of the programme, being fully remote. My training provider was very useful and helped along the way. I find marketing very fascinating so I have really found myself growing this interest throughout my apprenticeship.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, not having any previous marketing experience, this apprenticeship has opened many new opportunities.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My training was very flexible with my work schedule, my tutor was available via email but sometimes responses were slow. Overall, I had a good experience and felt supported and understood what was going to be happening at each stage of the programme.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have a very supportive team around me, which has been very helpful along the way. My manager has been a great advocate and is always there to help. Work is very flexible, so when I had more assignments I could dedicate more time where needed. I also had the flexibility to cater my work in order to fit my ksbs which was also really useful.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My tutor was very useful, we had monthly catch up calls 1-1 and regular calls for new modules.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have found my apprenticeship to give me that foundation of knowledge and understanding to the practical work I do day to day.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are normally quarterly socials within our business units, which is a fun time to get together and do a fun activity outside of work. There also are quite regular coffee mornings/ lunches in the office where people can come together. I have also had the opportunity to attend conferences and award ceremonies as part of my role.

Why?

The most supportive work environment I've experienced in my career so far. I feel really valued in what I do, and really enjoy the work I do in my role. I feel there is lots of room for progression and the company will help you along your journey.
