Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work in the Operations and Support team of BBC R&D. This involves procurement of hardware and software licences, system security scans, sever updates etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy my programme to a large extent, as I get to develop new skills and lean more about the industry I work in, which I find largely interesting.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed skills in management, communication, public speaking, time management, and learn new skills such as procurement, microsoft excel, and project management.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is mostly well structured, as my day-to-day work fits well with my academic work with my training provider. I am also given sufficient time to work on my university assignments, so I don't feel too much pressure from balancing uni work with normal work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My manager is there to support me as well as my scheme leaders and advisors.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
We have monthly catchups with my scheme coach to discuss my development and I can raise any concerns or needs that I have.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The academic knowledge acquired in through my training provider is helpful to some extent in my role, but some modules are not relevant to the current work that I do, but they information is still useful to have anyway
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes; I am a part of the Apprentice Community Podcast at my company which allows me to work with lots of other people that I wouldn't typically meet in my day-to-day role.
I also have attended outreach events with my company to try and inspire young people to pursue apprenticeships.
