Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As an electronics engineer apprentice my job role can vary from day to day, one day i may be troubleshooting a PCB, the other I could be doing design work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
My programme is very interesting, the things I learn at uni can be applied to at work, and its a real connection between practical learning and classroom learning. There isn't a day that I don't enjoy at work, I'm always learning and always being developed, I couldn't get a better start to my career.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I've learnt skill that i didn't knew existed before i started. When starting the Degree apprenticeship, i had very little clue what a PCB consisted of let alone the whole support structure around what it takes to design and manufacture them.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
Yes
Why?
BAE does cutting edge engineering and there is a wide variety of jobs to get involved with. You will learn something everyday, and there's always something new.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Ask questions, that's the best way to learn. Also for any degree apprenticeship the expectation is that you don't know about the technical information but you need to be passionate about engineering
