Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My main section is Fresh. Some mornings I will work on Fresh and move over to produce in the afternoons. Since it is just me, I manage both chilled and ambient. As for my apprenticeship, some days I will work on different departments, to get a better understanding of my role.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have gained many skills from my role, especially confidence. I have also learnt how the retail chain works, and some skills needed to accomplish my role as an apprentice.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many skills that contribute towards my role. Confidence being one of them, I have also learnt teamwork skills, as well as customer services skills.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is organised well, although sometimes I do struggle to find time to do my apprenticeship work. Since its only just began, I would assume they will allocate a day for two or so hours to do my work. Other than that, it is organised with the support and resources I get.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Like I said, some days are hard to find time to do my apprenticeship work, but so far I'm on top of what I need to do.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have learnt new skills from both The King's trust programme and I'm learning from the Lifetime Training programme.

I have to research other topics that help support my learning. I also do activities outside of work to help with my confidence

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Tesco plc?
At first it will be hard, chucking you in the deep end is for your own good. It gives you a sense of independence and preparation for what is to come later on in your role. Confidence is the biggest boost
