Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I’m on the back door and to be honest I don’t envelop get a chance to do any of my apprenticeship, there is no scheduled hours to do it and it’s been a few months since I even done any work towards it

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I don’t, it’s caused me added pressure as I had to ask to get time for my apprenticeship. When I’m supposed to get support towards it and time to do it and I’ve barely had that since joining and I’m so far behind.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I’ve not learnt any new skills or even refreshed myself on past skills as I never get the chance to

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It’s not, I don’t even get a chance to speak to my coach as I can’t even plan a meeting with them as I never know when I’ll get a chance

How much support do you receive from your employer?

None, I have no time planned towards my apprenticeship at all and I have to ask for time, but my role means I don’t even get cover.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I will say I get support, but it’s still limited and I can’t blame them as they try to see me. However I’m the one that don’t get the chance

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It should but it doesn’t work especially if you can’t work towards it. I wanted to do this, but if you can’t get time to do it. Don’t it’s not worth the hassle

A job, yes I would but it can take it out of you and sometimes be very stressful

If you are going towards the apprenticeship within the company make sure the store has the ability to support you where you need it
