Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I’m an Early Careers Resourcing Lead, focused on attracting and recruiting apprentices and graduates across the business. Day-to-day, I work on sourcing talent, managing campaigns, building relationships with schools and universities, and supporting hiring managers to bring in the right people. I also run projects to improve candidate experience and make sure our resourcing approach is fair and inclusive.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I’ve really enjoyed the programme — it’s been practical and relevant to my role. It’s helped me think more strategically about resourcing and apply what I’m learning straight into my work. Balancing it with a full-time job can be challenging, but it’s been worth it for the growth and confidence it’s given me.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I’ve developed both my strategic and operational skills from workforce planning and stakeholder management to project delivery and improving candidate experience. The programme has helped me think more critically, influence at a senior level, and apply evidence-based approaches to solve people challenges across the business.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The 15-month accelerated programme with Corndel was very well-structured. The modules built on each other logically, balancing theory with practical application, and the programme gave me clear milestones to track my development. The combination of learning, project work, and coaching made it easy to apply new skills straight into my role.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I’ve received a lot of support from Mitie throughout the programme. My manager and colleagues have been really encouraging, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities to apply what I’m learning. Having that backing has made it much easier to balance the accelerated programme with my day-to-day role.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Corndel has been really supportive throughout the accelerated programme. The coaching sessions are practical and tailored, and they provide clear guidance on assignments, helping me apply the learning directly in my role.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The Level 7 apprenticeship has had a big impact on my work. It’s helped me think more strategically, make evidence-based decisions, and strengthen my influence with stakeholders, all of which I can apply every day in my resourcing and wider people projects.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Mitie offers lots of ways to get involved beyond day-to-day work. You can join EDI networks, take part in social value projects, volunteer hours, and attend professional or networking events. These activities make it easy to connect with colleagues, develop skills, and contribute to the business in different ways.
