Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Working hands on within production management teams in the BBC. Support teams with productions through logistic, scheduling, contracting and budgeting.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am throughly enjoying my apprenticeship as I feel a valued part of each team I’m in.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt lots of new skills, both BBC specific and for the wider industry, as well as developing the skills I have from my previous career.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The train sessions are extremely organised and well structured. The work placements can sometimes be quite last minute which means I can be difficult to forward plan.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive lots of support from my employer and have worked with lots a brilliant managers. However, not all are aware of the different types of apprenticeships so I feel I have had to spent time explaining/proving my skill level as a career changer.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive lots of support from my training provider, and my trainer is always available to discuss any queries or questions I have about the course.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel it has helped me gain vital foundational training that I have been able to take and adapt to each team I have worked with.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

The are lots of additional events and training opportunities at the BBC, both inside and outside work time.
