Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a day to day basis, I can be doing a range of activities which will mainly be outside. This could be from completing SNAGS, producing clean up notices, helping out trades with any queries and many more.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

At the beginning, I felt that the job was very different to what I have previously been used to so found it quite tough to get used to adjusted work times but the Hill trainee programme is a very good route if you are looking to get into the construction industry and you will be given lots of different responsibilities if your team believe you are worthy/ready which is great. I would say I am thoroughly enjoying the programme so far.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have mostly developed new skills as my knowledge of the industry prior to starting with the company was fairly weak. Mainly these skills would include being able to manage a large group of people (i.e. Trades) as this can be mentally challenging but I feel that I have adapted well.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well organised/structured as like mentioned in previous sections, it allows you to progress very early and take on more and more responsibility once you feel that you are ready
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I think I get on very well with my employer so I know that if I ever have any queries that I can go to them and get great support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

A lot of support is given by my training provider when working towards my qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My training provider helped me gain extra confidence as it is a very key characteristic that is required of me to succeed in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I believe there are activities to get involved in outside of work times, but unfortunately not yet been able to participate. Although, I hear that these are fun and can be very good for meeting new people within the company that you might not have had the chance to work with. I have though been on multiple nights out with the team which have involved playing darts, shuffleboard, going for meals or just general socialising which have all been amazing.

Why?
I would definitely recommend the company to my friends and I already have to one who has a big interest in the industry and that's because at Hill, there is so much support and everyone here wants to see you be the best version of yourself.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to The Hill Group?
My advice would be to just go for it. Under the trainee programme, you are provided with a great opportunity to progress fast in such a great company that is growing by the day.
