Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Overall, I do the same work as a deputy store manager, so it's a mix of office based work and shop floor, mostly working on the shop floor working stock, tidying the store and being on till.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I quite enjoy it.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I've learned a variety of management techniques, as well as become an efficient, hard working member of staff.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
There is clear structure and clear goals in place for the end of the apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I feel supported in my role, for example I get 7 hours a week off the usual store operations to focus on my online learning and development.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I have regular check ins with my learning coach.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
It is teaching me a lot of useful skills for management however it seems primarily focused on an office based team leader role, whereas at Aldi, managers are not in the office most of their shift, but instead running things from the shop floor.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
t's not that type of company.

Yes
Why?
I would and I have before. The money is good, the hours are decent and I love working here.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
Be prepared to work hard, every penny you get paid is earned.
