Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Supporting and assisting the Project Engineers in the delivery of a portfolio of small/medium-sized capital projects which includes the following activities.
Managing and delivering a portfolio of mechanical, electrical, civil, control and instrumentation projects.
Working closely with Thames Water operations and our contractor supply chain to scope, specify and cost, quality solutions that are both fit for purpose and value for money.
Comply with Health and Safety requirements, ensuring that all projects built and designed comply with the Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM).
Work collaboratively with delivery partners/contractors to ensure that schemes deliver on time, minimising the risk to the business.
Drafting, vetting and approving RAMS, pre-construction information, project plans, construction phase H&S plans (CPP) and commissioning plans.
Overseeing the commissioning and handover of the project to the operational client.
Ensuring appropriate training has been completed and that completion documents are available and handed over including test certificates and constructed drawings.

Excellent Support Provided from employer (Line manager, Mentor, Full team, Apprentice & Graduate Performance Managers, Lots of other teams within TW are all willing to help)
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Excellent Support Provided from training provider (Module teachers, student central teams, Apprentice outcomes officer (personal allocated to you), Technical Manager for review of portfolio, Ambassador teams, lots of other individuals within the University that provide both academy and non acedemic support. Also have VLE - as university is virtual with everything you could possibly need on there.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Content Learnt at university (split into modules) does relate and link to work - All provide new learning opportunities.
