Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

When I originally started at RSM, my role was an Audit Assistant. This was for the first 2 years of my school leave programme. My role involved transactional audit testing and discussions with clients and more senior RSM staff members on testing.
As an Audit Supervisor, my job is to lead roles and coach more junior members of staff on audit testing that they are completing.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have really enjoyed the School Leaver Programme that RSM have put me through to date. There is ample opportunity for hands on, real life experience either in the office or at client site. Additionally, there is a significant amount of time dedicated to soft skill training.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

The main skill that I have developed is my communication skills, with opportunity to interact with more senior staff members and clients.

The qualification I am studying for gives me technical skills that directly transfer into my day-to-day role.
