My primary role is to prepare financial statements for audited clients with client provided trial balances and disclosure information.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme as I am able to gain a wide range of experience in the financial sector in such a supportive environment.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

In my role, I learn something new every day by working with a variety of clients and other RSM teams. I have also been completing the AAT L3 and L4 and will move onto ACA this year.

Why?
As they are a supportive employer who ensure that all employees have the opportunity to achieve. Being a larger firm, you have the chance to work in a large range of teams and with a large pool of clients.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to RSM?
Be yourself in your application - if you're applying for a trainee role, don't be concerned if you don't have any accounting experience - gaining your qualifications and working day-to-day will give you a breadth of knowledge very quickly.
