Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role as a Broadcast and Media Systems Engineering Apprentice involves the creation and maintenance of broadcast systems used within the company. As I am based within the Sport team, the designing of these systems is very important in preparation for upcoming sporting events - such as the World Cup
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my course so much! There is always something to do and to get hands on experience with.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Before I started I didn't have much knowledge about anything in the industry - but now I have a much improved understanding of what goes on and I can't wait to learn even more in my upcoming final few years.

I think my programme is very well organised, with a good balance of Work to University ratio.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The employer provide a lot of support - especially if you ask, they are very accommodating to personal needs.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider do provide help when working towards your qualifications.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think learning the knowledge through our training provider and then being able to apply it in the work place helps with personal performance. I perform better when I fully understand everything and both sides help with that.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I have joined the Apprentice Podcast Team, who produce monthly podcasts for the Apprentice Community and I have made a lot of friends through this.
