Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am an apprentice data analyst within the water efficiency team. I analyse data about customers' water use and survey responses in order to gather insights to help shape our services to best support people in being more mindful of their water use.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy my programme. I am enjoying learning a range of new skills and applying them in a role where I know I am making a difference.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed some existing skills, such as using excel to analyse and visualise data and have learnt lots of new skills for cleaning, analysing and visualising data.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very well structured. My learning is split into independent learning, guided learning and time to apply my learning to my job role. I am given plenty of time to complete each learning activity.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support. I am given plenty of time to complete my apprenticeship work and know I can ask for help and guidance from my manager and my colleagues.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a lot of support. I have regular reviews and time for support and can ask and receive any extra support I may need.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification allows me to gain new skills and practice existing skills with support. I can then apply these skills to my role, to gain more insights from the data I analyse.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I am not currently involved in any extra-curricular activities but am aware that there are lots of opportunities to get involved in a wide range of activities.
