Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I aid in the mobilisation of new acquisitions into the time and attendance system to improve compliance and efficiency to make sure information passed to payroll is correct. This involves checking information is given correctly to our configuration team, to make sure pay based information systematically acts with the clocked information. Also providing training and support to new managers and colleagues, along with the mobilisation team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I feel i am in a supported environment which allows me to progress as an individual within a strong department / team. I feel my apprenticeship is allowing me to build on working knowledge to give me key skills to progress in my future career.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Having started life as a performer, i have learnt from scratch a new office based skillset, with opportunities to improve at regular opportunities.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I feel the apprenticeship element of my time is split into manageable bite sized pieces which allow me to absorb information at a progressive rate.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I am given the time and support i need to complete my apprenticeship and my day to day tasks, with line manager support when needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My Mentor and tutor are highly knowledgeable and available when i have questions on how to improve my experience.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The project management apprenticeship allows me the opportunity to improve my compliance and capacity for running projects in my current role, but also gives me the toolkit for future roles within the business.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I play regularly as part of the 5 a side game we have weekly and part of the golf teams channel for the better weather days.

Yes
Why?
They are a catering company that do put their colleagues first with a strong hire to retire mentality. There are opportunities as far as your ability and desire can take you, and a pathway of how to find them.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Compass group?
Be willing to get your foot in with an entry level position and then get yourself known and available to the business and find out all you can as an opportunity will present itself.
