Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I manage and promote apprenticeships, work experience, volunteering and employability programmes across the organisation.
I liaise with our staff to support their career development and find the right route of progression for them.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Its very well organised, the support I receive from both the University and my team at work is outstanding which enables me to achieve my targets.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I'm learning about the different career theories and how I can utilise these and improve the support I provide in my role to others.
My academic writing has improved as has my organisational skills.
The apprenticeship has also helped me to recognise the skills I have developed and honed over my career so far.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is structured really well with enough time to get work complete and put into practice before moving on to the next module. Having scheduled meetings with the cohort to share practice has also been really useful.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Lots of support and encouragement and the freedom to be flexible with my workload which allows me to study when I need to.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Support is readily available from both tutors, the apprenticeship coordinator, library staff and regular sessions around EPA, academic writing, referencing etc as additional support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I'm still on programme so still developing but the course is giving me the vision to see where I can take my work. I can see where I have altered my approach to certain career conversations following learning.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are some but not loads.
