Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role is to use AI within the BBC, more specifically the Business Management and Admin team. I am looking for use cases for the deployment of AI in workflows etc. I am also an AI champion so people can ask advice on AI related tech.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy the programme as it provides many opportunities working within the BBC. I only give 4/5 stars because I am the only person involved in AI in my team therefore I am often looking up things by myself rather than being taught

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I am developing new skills daily. Mainly AI related or IT/cybersecurity.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is well organised, the BBC have an academy who are working alongside Apprentify who are the learning provider. They are both very organised as you could imagine for a large organisation.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
There is plenty of support from the BBC, however I wish I could have a mentor or in a team based around AI
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Apprentify offer a lot of support and are brilliant
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Yes, I feel the learning provider are giving us the 'tools' to succeed in the roles
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are many within the BBC

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BBC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Many opportunities in the BBC, great people who work there and an interesting place to work
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BBC?
Apply for various roles, you may not get the specific role you want initially but there are opportunities once you are involved to see other parts of the organisation
