Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I have the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of tasks day to day. That includes scheduling, financial reporting and HR functions. This really allows me to develop all the skills i need to be a successful business administrator. I have felt incredibly supported by everyone i've met and also had the chance to trail live lounges, radio shows and piano rooms to understand operational roles as well !
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I absolutely love my programme and the work i get to do everyday. The BBC is such a diverse and inclusive place to work, i feel like i can be myself and am valued as a person. I feel so supported by all my colleagues extending all the way up to senior management. I come away from work feeling inspired and empowered so i couldn't be happier !
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

The growth i have experienced since i stated at the BBC in September is exponential. Not only have i developed specialist skills such as scheduling and data reporting but i have learnt how to communicate better, how to organise my time, how to respond to feedback, how to speak publically and so much more. My confidence has grown so much !

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is very organised and structured. The apprenticeship team within the BBC are amazing and i have always felt supported by them in every way. Communication is excellent and they always ensure we are ok not only in our roles but also in our learning.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

i have received a lot of support from my employer. I have received strategy coaching to ensure my transition into the workplace was smooth. My manager has taught me skills like how to budget. Their have been consistent sessions run since i started which are specifically aimed at BBC apprentices regarding anything from setting up a pension to work life balance tips !
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The support from BPP, my training provider is good - hey have an informative website. I have regular coaching calls and interactive webinars to cover content !
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

i think it goes both ways - the overall effect is that i'm constantly able to keep leaning !
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

yes, their are lots of staff networks we can join. I am on the comittee of the Apprentice community !

Why?
I couldn'y have found an enviroment that is more inclusive, diverse, inspiring to learn in. The kindness everyone has shown me from the very start has been unparralled and i feel very proud to be a part of the BBC.
