I'm a Production Apprentice based in BBC Sport short-form. Within the apprentice scheme I have worked as a runner on live broadcasts, pitched content ideas, edited sporting highlights for BBC Sport website, Iplayer and YouTube, worked as a researcher on the Winter Olympics and worked with high-profile sporting talent on shoots. Day to day i divide my time between meeting working demands and completing my apprenticeship training.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learnt lots of new skills including editing using Adobe software for both Audio and Video. I've learnt how to created production documentation and complete risk assessments as well as understanding more in depth about production budgets and how they run.

Be passionate! Apply for an area or department that you want to be in and use your passion to fuel your application. Be aware of the BBC Values and find times where you've demonstrated these.
