Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Being a store assistant is great, I love the variety of being on and off tills, working stock & carding etc
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I am really enjoying the learning on the apprenticeship side, I’ve learnt so much in the few months I’ve been here as I had very little knowledge on the retail sector before joining with Aldi.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I’ve learned a lot of new skills as I have never worked In retail before. I also feel my confidence as a person has grown as you are given responsibilities here and you’re encouraged to grow and learn constantly

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The apprenticeship programme is amazingly well structured and my tutor is always available to support me whenever I need her. She is an excellent source of knowledge and I fully feel like I can do anything I set my mind to when I have sessions with her
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I think that my employer could offer more feedback to let me know where I’m doing good/could improve as it currently seems to operate on a “no news is good news” sort of approach which can be hard at times because I like to know what I’m not so good at so I can work on improving!
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider is absolutely amazing :)
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
Not as far as I’m aware.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Aldi to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I love working here, the people I work with are awesome and everyone is always willing to help if you need it.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
Don’t be afraid to give it a go! It’s hard work but it’s very rewarding, just get stuck in! :)
