Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am responsible for overseeing the organisation’s apprenticeship programmes, ensuring they run smoothly and meet business and compliance requirements. I work with stakeholders, training providers and apprentices to support delivery, progress and outcomes, and to maximise the value of apprenticeships across the business.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I have thoroughly enjoyed the apprenticeship programme. It has been both challenging and rewarding, encouraging me to step back from day‑to‑day operational delivery and think more strategically about leadership, influence and organisational impact. The programme has strengthened my confidence, broadened my perspective, and provided practical tools that I am already applying in my role, while also giving me the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with peers at a senior level.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, I have developed both new and existing skills through the programme. In particular, I have strengthened my strategic thinking, leadership confidence and ability to influence at a senior level. I have also improved my self‑awareness, communication and decision‑making skills, enabling me to lead more effectively, manage complexity, and take a more considered, organisation‑wide approach rather than focusing solely on operational delivery.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is well organised and clearly structured, with a logical flow between modules. Expectations, timelines and assessment requirements are communicated clearly, which helps with planning alongside a role.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive consistent support from my employer throughout the programme. This includes encouragement from my line manager, flexibility to balance programme requirements alongside my role, and access to time and resources needed to engage fully with learning and assessments.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive a good level of support from my training provider while working towards my qualification. This includes regular contact, structured coaching sessions, timely feedback on assignments, and clear guidance on expectations and assessment requirements.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The learning is directly relevant to the challenges I face in a senior position in my role, particularly in areas such as strategic thinking, leadership impact, decision‑making and influencing across the organisation. The focus on applying theory to real‑world scenarios has helped me take a more confident, structured and reflective approach to my role, enabling me to add greater value both operationally and strategically.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, there are a range of extra‑curricular opportunities available at work that support both social connection and professional development. A good example is our involvement with the Association of Apprentices (AoA) membership which has external face to face and webinar networking events.
