Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Changes day to day
Sometimes I act as a deputy manager others I'm just a store assistant who can help managers if needed
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoyed when first learning but I feel I can be trusted to do more and have more responsibilities
Sometimes feel the courses aren't to do with what I work with here either and is a lack of communication in what I should be doing, causing stress in the apprenticeship

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I can confidently run and organise a team now and can think like a manager
Will help me alot in the future

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
Feels like I'm the one who has to structure it
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
When I ask my in store managers they are happy to help
I understand that doing my work in store hours is hard as well with busy retailers so I appreciate the effort they do try to put in
Sometimes I have to demand more time but as I said I understand why this is
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I feel support but I also can tell that they are busy with others as well i feel sometimes I need more direct help and learning which can't happen when there is multiple apprentices that need help of one trainer
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Sometimes it is perfect and fits into what I need other times it feels unrelated and almost to far above the role I'm working towards and what my qualification will get me
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
We have pub visits or birthdays but other than that no

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Aldi to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Yes but not as a apprentice
I feel it's a good company to work for but I think I could be the same position if not closer to management if I came in as a store assistant and would be on alot more pay
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
Ask more questions and actually make clear that you want to progress
