Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I have done a bit of everything so far in my time at aldi, from learning how to do the tills and self checkout, to tidying the store and shelves, to working the delivery, i learn something new most days
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i absolutely love my job and am very excited for my future

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes i have learnt many different ways to build good and positive relationships with customers and how to help them according to their needs and wants

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well organised, i meet with a learning coach every 4-5 weeks for an in person teaching and learning session, aswell as doing my online work on the side
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My store manager is very good as she sets me time aside each week for me to complete my work
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

A lot of support they are always available if i ever ask for help
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I would say it helps me alot as i have learnt a few different ways to approach people in order to give that amazing customer service aldi require
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

we had a christmas dinner which was lovely and i know people do sometimes go out

Yes
Why?
They are so good with helping with your training, they are understanding that you are not going to be the best at your job straight away and are always always happy to help
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
If you get the interview always make sure you come prepared, i was over prepared for mine but it didn’t bother me one bit as i knew if i was underprepared it would’ve been a lot worse for me
