To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The program content has been in the main relevant and good. The structure of the course, information flow, platforms used and working tools have been more of a mixed bag.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have been able to add depth to existing learning and engage with techniques on a deeper level.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The organization has been improving, but the onboarding and orientation of the course material and tools and systems the programme is set around have been patchy in places and hard to follow. Course content has been adjusted as the course has evolved and our provider has established the impact they are having on the level of learners within the cohort.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer has been on board from day 1 and good at facilitating catch ups and making sure I feel I have time for the work involved.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Support from my coach has been good in the main- although they have had to adapt and improvise in paces where content has not flowed chronologically in line with the diarised course material. They have been available and approachable throughout though.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I am able to take theories and content and incorporate business ready ideas into the ways I develop my team leaders and help them manage and develop their own teams. I have had good opportunities to self assess and work on the way I present to my teams too.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I'm aware of the membership with the CMI through this course- although I have not found content that I have been able to attend that I have felt would have an immediate impact on my role. The extra time to complete the course along side my daily role does limit the time I currently have for Networking.

Would you recommend Compass group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The opportunity to meet a wider group of managers from across the Compass estate has been interesting and helped to better understand the estate and a broader range of management styles.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Compass group?
Just do it. While a large corporate entity might feel scary & putting your head above the parapet to a place where you might not be in your comfort zone and may feel exposed to judgement - once you embrace the unknown you will have a great opportunity to stretch yourself and grow as a maanger.
