Overall, how would you describe your experience at Samworth Brothers?
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
- Placement 3: Raw Material Integrity Technologist, Group Technical. Responsible for coordinating TRACE network samples. Completed multiple VACCP studies and created a VACCP guide to support the team. Updated the authenticity test/trace matrix based on horizon Scan and FIIN intelligence. Coordinated the Foods Connected product check manager packaging project across sites.
- Placement 2: Process Development Technologist, Melton Foods. As a team, involved in McDonald’s and Starbucks porridge equipment set up and trials, resulting in customer approval. Co-ordinated and ran sandwich trials independently. Project management: ‘Prep Mix Standardisation’, utilising Toyota Practical Problem Solving Training, presenting findings and innovative actions to support the senior leadership team.
- Placement 1: Food Safety Systems Technologist, Walkers Deli & Sausage Co. Completed Brexit paperwork, coordinated several site critical allergen and species validations, created new visitor & contractor leaflet. Involved in the recruitment process for High Level Apprentices (2022 cohort).
