Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Day to day roles included shadowing an expert study manager, attending meetings as well as taking on routine tasks such as tracking visit numbers, sending out updates to other teams, working on excel and collating data.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a lot of responsibility in different roles and other additional initiatives i took too - I just needed to ask and also appear responsible and reliable at first when completing tasks they gave me.

I received a lot of support during my placement year - I had a lot of people to reach out to if I had questions even if my immediate manager wasn't in for any reason.

I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year at Pfizer - I learnt an astronomical amount and made some valuable connections that I intend to keep throughout my career.

What advice would you give to others applying to Pfizer
I would advise to look into the role your applying to thoroughly - just because it is at Pfizer does not mean it will be science based - if you are looking for a lab role then apply for a lab role specifically - you will not get the lab experience if you work in GSSO at an office level.
