I am an administrator for the apprenticeships team at Compass Group UK & Ireland, my role involves various responsibilities such as apprentice touchpoint calls for wellbeing, diary management for delivery partners and the creation of collateral for events.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I very much enjoyed the programme and learnt an incredible amount of new skills and knowledge in an area I have never worked in. All my previous job roles have been in hospitality or retail. This programme has really helped to understand business administration as a broad concept and given me a solid foundation to build a career from.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed a wide range of skills including forward planning, document recording, data reviewing, stakeholder management, project management, collateral creation, just to name a few.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think the programme is really well structured, a blend of self led learning and assignments with some coach led sessions from my training provider to maximise the learning experience.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The support was their from the start, being recruited into an apprentice role, the expectations were laid out straight away so there were no surprises. My line manager gave the time needed to complete the programme to ensure I achieved the best result possible!
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I received all the support necessary from my training provider - they delivered great learning sessions and gave constructive feedback to action. They also were pivotal in giving tips and hints for the EPA process to make sure I was in the best placed position to achieve. They would respond to my queries timely and gave great advice and guidance.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

100%. Going into this role I knew the basics of sending emails, using Excel and creating PowerPoints, but that was probably the extent to my administration knowledge. This qualification has helped me to improve my productivity in my role and the quality of me work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I play football once a week with some of the guys from Compass who work in different areas of the business; finance, recruitment, etc.

Why?
If you want to develop and build a career from scratch this is the place to do it. The variety of apprenticeships that you can do is exciting and gives a lot of option. Compass really value the individuals that work for them and invest in their growth.

Do it! Show your passion and drive to succeed and you wont go wrong.
