I commercially manage different Subcontractors who undertake different projects on the major UK programme I work on. These projects include Fit Out, Civils (piling), muck-away and site-wide logistics.
Commercial management involves negotiating contracts, negotiating the price of variation works on site and assessing monthly payment applications from Subcontractors.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I absolutely love the programme. I never anticipated a career in construction. I have now worked across a few different Mace Construction projects in a few different locations and every project I've worked on has had teams that are genuinely dedicated to your development with knowledge-sharing.

I have learnt so many new skills and am on track for a funded chartership.

Brilliantly structured, lots of time given to team-building days and apprenticeship networking days too.
