As a Manufacturing Excellence Coordinator, I help make the production process smoother, boost efficiency, and support the team in doing their best work. I focus on practical improvements that make a real difference every day.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I absolutely love this apprenticeship, it’s giving me hands-on experience, new skills every day, and the chance to grow while actually enjoying the work I do.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I’ve picked up a lot of valuable skills during this apprenticeship, from improving processes and problem-solving to working well with a team and communicating clearly. I’ve also learned to be more organised, proactive, and confident in taking on new challenges.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The apprenticeship is really well structured, with clear goals and a good balance between work and learning. I especially like the block release every 6–8 weeks, which gives me focused time to build new skills and knowledge before putting them into practice at work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Samworth Brothers have been really supportive throughout my apprenticeship, always offering guidance, encouragement, and opportunities to learn. They make sure I have everything I need to succeed and grow, which makes me feel valued and motivated every day.

Sheffield Hallam University have been really supportive throughout my apprenticeship, providing clear guidance, helpful resources, and approachable staff whenever I need help. Their support makes learning straightforward and ensures I can get the most out of my block releases and course work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The training I receive during my apprenticeship directly helps me at work by giving me practical skills and knowledge I can use every day. It makes me more confident in my role, helps me solve problems efficiently, and allows me to contribute to improving processes and supporting the team more effectively.
