Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role included preparation of forums working with people who use adult social care services and collecting feedback on the services they use and how to make them better for them, also did this through the national adult social care and carers survey that gets sent out annually.
My general day to day tasks included monitoring and responding to mailbox enquiries from external clients, updating our teams webpages with current important information, logging important data on our teams database log and preparation of forums/board/group meetings.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoyed my time as an apprentice - I had a very supportive team that helped me achieve an distinction in my Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship and no question was to big or small when I was confused and stuck on a task, both in my professional role and my apprentice assignments.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I learnt lots of practical skills like minute taking, data logging, website design which has been useful but also gained knowledge in Adult Social Care services in the public sector and how the process works in various departments.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I met with my tutor once a month to assign assignments for myself and I was then given allocated time in my role to completed these task.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Plenty of support - if I got stuck with an apprentice task my line manager would offer to book a meeting together to go through the tasks together and help me understand it better.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Again amazing, I went with Paragon Skills and my tutor was incredibly supportive and if I didn't understand a tasks she would explain it or allow me to present it in an alternative way that I understood.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It allowed me to focus on the "behind the scenes" knowledge like regulation and legislations that employees had to follow such as Health and Safety at work, Fire safety etc.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
The apprenticeship team organised networking events and current apprentices would organise weekly lunch catch ups.
