Working within Apprenticeships & Early Careers, I support managers across the organisation to recruit apprentices and help young people access early career opportunities, including work experience and T Level industry placements. I also contribute to the development of our apprenticeship programme, ensuring apprentices have the opportunities they need to grow and progress.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

My employer provided all the support I needed, including off‑the‑job training and access to the opportunities required to gain essential experience. They also went above and beyond by involving me in additional activities that further supported my development.

Devon County Council has supported my career progression from the moment I joined as an apprentice, giving me the opportunity to complete multiple apprenticeships that have enabled me to move into higher‑paid roles. I’ve been fortunate to gain experience across a wide range of work, tasks, and additional volunteering opportunities, all of which have shaped the HR professional I am today.
