Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
First day was mostly around Equity Research and a project based on that. Second day was centred around multi-asset investing. Then the third day was about fixed income with a small project on that as well.
Throughout the week we had other sessions with CSR teams, well-being teams, graduate panels, affinity groups etc.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was really interesting learning about the wide range of opportunities. I was really interested in all the roles, and those that spoke to us were very passionate and enthusiastic about what they do. It was really inspiring.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I’ve learnt an immense amount in such a short period of time. I’ve learnt a lot about the asset management industry in general, and I’ve also gotten to experience the culture at Fidelity International.
Coming from a non-finance background, I also learnt a lot of technical knowledge that will help me throughout my application cycle.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was absolutely fantastic. Everyone was welcoming and everyone had such passion and enthusiasm for the work that they do. The energy was very positive and the atmosphere was very vibrant, even though it was virtual. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed the insight. It’s been an amazing three days and an unforgettable experience. Every day was filled with fun-filled activities that would boost our learning as well. Even though it was virtual, there were plenty of interactive activities.
