As a Sales & Marketing intern, my role involved supporting the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at driving business growth and client retention. I also played a key role in AI initiatives, exploring opportunities and developing business cases to create scale and efficiency across Distribution.

Yes. I was given significant responsibility within the team which included creating business cases, developing presentations for senior leadership, managing stakeholder follow-ups, chairing project meetings, and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Yes. I significantly improved my public speaking skills by engaging in a panel discussion, chairing meetings and delivering my final presentation.
I also strengthened my data analysis skills by using data to support business cases, evaluate opportunities and inform strategic decisions.

I received incredible support throughout my internship from my manager, my team and the Early Careers team. My manager provided regular guidance, trusted me with significant responsibility and supported my professional development while giving me the ownership of projects. The team were always approachable, offering valuable insights and expertise whenever needed. The Early Careers team also played an important role by providing resources, networking opportunities and regular check-ins, ensuring I felt supported both professionally and personally throughout my placement.

The company culture at Fidelity was highly collaborative, supportive and focused on continuous learning. Despite being an intern, I was trusted with meaningful responsibilities and encouraged to contribute ideas from the beginning. There was a strong emphasis on teamwork and professional development, with colleagues at all levels being generous with their time and willing to share their expertise and provide support. The overall atmosphere was welcoming and inclusive, creating an environment where I felt so valued.

I thoroughly enjoyed my internship at Fidelity. The 10-weeks gave me the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, develop skills and collaborate with colleagues across different teams and seniority levels. It was a challenging and rewarding experience that helped me develop and build confidence, while gaining valuable insight into the Asset Management industry.
