Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role typically includes building, improving and working with models in python.
There are some exploratory, more analysis tasks but most of my time is spent modelling.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy it, sometimes can be a bit boring/repetitive but that's with the excel tasks, I always enjoy my python tasks.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
The time I've spent working has absolutely led to me developing skills and learning new ones, in the short time I've been at the home office I've really learnt to work with other people, manage my time as well as use excel a lot more efficiently, as well as using Python.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Pretty well structured. Bit annoying that there's no central teams channel/method of communication between apprentices and it's something I would like to see.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
A lot, never thinking there's not enough days in the week/never had to do my OTJ in my own time, or at the weekend.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
It's available but I've never needed it, not yet at least.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Looking at the course content, yes, it's very relevant to my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Almost always a social at least once a month, things like run club at certain offices, civil service ethos.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Home Office to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Good place to work, good benefits, good work/life balance.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Home Office?
Very flexible - if you have an offer at one office you might be able to just work for an office closer if it's possible.
