Overall, how would you describe your experience at Beazley?
It has been great so far. The graduate scheme was well organised and my colleagues at Beazley are all very experienced, supportive and professional.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Updating the Asset model within the Internal model to correctly capture investment risk, interest rate risk etc...
Rolling forward templates for the Business Plan every quarter and drafting and presenting papers to various committees.

Compensation package is amazing - lifestyle allowance, very nice office with pool & table tennis, lunch allowance, travel expensed, generous pension, remote working allowance, option to buy more annual leave and carry over.

I have been provided with a lot of learning and responsibility whilst being appropriately challenged and pushed out of my comfort zone.

Formal training was very abundant at the start of the graduate scheme but this has reduced over time. Nevertheless the training was very helpful.

How is the support you receive?

Support from my line manager and team etc has been incredibly useful. As mentioned earlier, support from HR has reduced throughout time reflecting their trust in us and the development we have already shown.
How is your work-life balance?

As great as it can be given that I also have to study for exams for my actuarial qualification. Beazley has been very understanding of this and ensure I can maintain a healthy work life balance.

I was initially under the impression that I would be rotating teams in my graduate scheme which was not the case.
Apart from this, it has exceeded my expectations with how great the graduate scheme has been.
