Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role consists of aiding supporting the sales teams I work across with projects, accounts and forecasting.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes. I was given the opportunity to get involved in extra projects across the company that went beyond my role and my team.
The work I am doing in and outside of my initial role has real impact on the company and my team.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I can forecast and understand the forecasting of sales. I am proficient in Microsoft applications and data sources like powerbi and sales force.
My self confidence has improved as well as how I communicate with others and tackle projects like presentations.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

A lot of support.
We had a 1 month period at the beginning of our role where the interns before us handed over our responsibilities and taught us our day to day role.
My teams and the other interns are always on hand and want to see me succeed.

We have a great company culture. The intern community as well as the wider office community is very strong and makes it enjoyable to come into work.

What advice would you give to others applying to Hewlett Packard Enterprise

Really show your personality in your interview. Although they want to see the skills you can bring, a lot of skills you will need can be acquired throughout the role. HPE is consistent in driving a positive culture and showing you will be a good fit in the culture and wanting to learn and contribute to the company will help in the application process.
