Overall, how would you describe your experience at Visa?
I like the work I do. When in office, I'm either actively problem solving with others, coding up a solution or playing table tennis.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I build proof of concepts that utilise AI in the solution to help increase productivity or to automate workflows.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I feel like my work is very meaningful, I am able to discuss solutions with developers openly and they consider my suggestions, even though I am a graduate. I have a lot of flexibility regarding projects I can work on, and many of them are large scale projects that effect multiple teams.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

Smart Benefits are good, and the office gym is quite nice. We have a PT available, which is a nice perk. However, I don't think the total comp is up to market standard given the impact of the work I do.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

I have access to the latest AI tools, which I can experiment and build with.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

I think the formal training isn't very tech-focused, but the skills I learn on a day-to-day basis are very useful. We have a lot of resources available, but it is more self study focused.

Whenever I have a question or thoughts on how we could potentially do things better, I always feel heard and get a response back relatively quickly.
How is your work-life balance?

Very good work-life balance, probably one of the best work-life balances you will get in a corporate job (for software engineering). If my manager sees I haven't gone for lunch, or if I've been at my desk for a while, she normally reminds me to go and take a break or grab lunch.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

WFH Monday and Friday, with no meeting Friday afternoons and in the summer having a half day on a Friday (given that you have worked a certain number of hours during the week). Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday is in office. The office is open 5 days a week (you can go to either Paddington or Reading on WFH days, but on office days you must go to your assigned office).
