Overall, how would you describe your experience at Mott MacDonald?
Excellent, a very welcoming environment to work in with a really positive work culture. The scale of projects and experience has made it very rewarding to work here.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Technical work, I enjoy getting involved in community work within the office too. Site work is especially rewarding
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I feel like an active member of the team and have done so almost from the jump. The projects feel important and I have always had choice on participating for any projects that would lead to any deviations from my standard office routine (e.g. site work or transfers)
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

It would be nice to have more transparency and Cambridge is an expensive place to live but the compensation is overall nothing to scoff at.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

The technical skills developed are very valuable and the fact I was abler to engage with them from the start has made it even more valuable as experience.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

The learning on the job opportunities have been great although more could be done to offer training to the team.

Occasionally it can reach a level that is more that I would be comfortable with but it is a very good job as it is able to accommodate life changes like moves or career changes.

Very good opportunities and a positive place to work. The flexibility and the well known name means that even if it isn't the right fit a job at Motts will generally offer strong benefits.

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Mott MacDonald?
A slightly more unconventional background could be the most important trait you have when applying so don't be afraid to include skills that you feel are relevant but aare slightly outside the typical job role in question as long as you can connect and defend them as a useful skill.
