Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at Mott MacDonald?
Amazing experience so far. Lots of different types of work, large number of projects so varied experiences, and internal trainings to work on soft skills and grow professionally. Plus, very friendly work atmosphere, brilliant support and flexible working options and benefits.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
There has been design work on different projects, so I've looked as concrete and steel design mostly. A lot of complex challenges to solve, so it gives opportunity to learn on the job. Additionally, I've had the opportunity to go on structural inspections with highly experienced engineers in many different locations. This gives a direct exposure to the industry, and gives opportunity to move out of the office room and see the designed infrastructure, you get a feel of how the design integration looks like in real life. Plus, when elements you've designed are already constructed and put in place, that feeling is unmatched. This is what I enjoy most, you feel that you've already made a contribution to the society in your own way and it motivates you to keep going at it !
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

There are lots of opportunities to work on varied work, and it directly influences the community so its pretty meaningful.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

I think Motts offers one of the best graduate packages out there, and have a very good benefit scheme, which includes pensions, cycle to work, gym memberships, private life insurance and much more. And for graduates, they have a bi-annual salary review as well, plus yearly, bonuses are also given at the end of the financial year, so overall its a 5 star package
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Immensely, as I get valuable experiences and feedback, which tell me not just what I'm doing right but also where I need to improve. And this experience is definitely shaping me up for a properous future.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

Motts has a tailored development program, plus you can also have training as per your own needs like technical stuff. There are lots of workshops to engage with different people, from lower levels all the way up to those in leadership, so you pick up lots of skills, and get polished technically as well as professionally !

Friendly, inclusive atmosphere ! You just don't feel alone at any point. Plus flexible working is a big bonus.

Its one of the best, I know a lot of people with different needs, and Motts caters to each individual perfectly. They believe that the employees work best if we take care of all things that matter to them, and therefore, take steps to make sure that our worries are all taken care of.
How would you rate Mott MacDonald CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

Again, CSR is at the heart of Motts, everyday we do stuff that directly affects the community, so the policies make sure that no sort of harm is caused in any way, and they're always striving to better themselves, to improve upon what we already have and learn from any past mistakes !
