Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at JLR?
I am extremely happy and content with my experience at JLR. The company provides with a very balanced and understanding work culture. I have learned a lot about my work ever since I have joined because every single person is very approachable and very patient at explaining the work, not to forget they are all geniuses at what they do.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
The most exciting part about this role is that I get to rotate between teams within my role. This gives me a taste of everything within the company, network with people otherwise I would have never met, work in areas I might never have experienced and also get to sharpen skills other than what is just my domain.
My responsibilities include anything and everything that is needed to support the my team. I never shy away from any kind of work because it is always a learning curve. I always feel encouraged and motivated by the team.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
5/5
Even though I am a graduate, I am trusted enough to get work on meaningful tasks. I work like any other employee of the company and I am not treated like a trainee or intern which I love.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
5/5
From what I know, I am being fairly compensated according to market standards. The stage for pay is healthy bump in between the graduate scheme, which has helped a lot financially.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
4/5
I never thought I would get into automotive industry, but the rotations have given me much confidence and also given me a lot of transferable skills.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
5/5
I learn something new everyday. Plus with a shift in roles every 6 months, there is always a learning curve and you never stop learning!

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?
5/5
The managers I have got are always understanding , accomodating and helpful. Other than that, there is always a Grad Buddy to help out with graduate doubts and processes. There are mentors in every team. Rest assured all the issues are solved by the Early Careers team.
How is your work-life balance?
5/5
I am always asked if I have enough on my plate before given any more work. I am always allowed to say I am overwhelmed or if I do not have the bandwidth to take on something new. I never have to work post working hours which is really important for me.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?
5/5
It is pretty friendly and open minded. Especially as a graduate on my first job, it is great to have so many graduates, almost feels like we have our own little community
How would you rate JLR initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
4/5
There is always a group for everyone. Nobody feels left out. You can join any group whether you need support or are in a position to support others.
How would you rate JLR CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?
5/5
JLR allows for 16 hours of volunteering on company team which is a great initiative. JLR also organises some opportunites for volunteering in different domains, whatever sounds interesting.
