Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at JLR?

Fantastic. Brilliant people with a fantastic community of respect, patience and understanding. The work is interesting and unique to anything I've done before and I've been supported well throughout the journey as a working professional. There's great opportunity to learn from numerous people all across the company with no question being to silly to ask.

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?

Managing, Purchasing, R&D, Cost Analysis, Design, People management, Supplier engagement and many many more. The elements I enjoyed the most were R&D into the bespoke sector as the level of detail, exploration and creativity was fascinating to me.

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I've always been given a task that actively contributes to improving the team's performance or taking the work to a new direction.

How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

Invest in you Scheme (£150 towards bettering ourself outside of work) is fantastic and the ability to take a car out (For good reason) is fantastic.

The Mentoring and buddy system is well set up to provide me with support throughout my journey whether it has been interpersonal issues or workplace understanding.

I have the ability to still gym, play rugby and catch up with friends all while being a strong contributor to my team.

What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

The culture is excellent within my team and has positive feeling within the office especially given the pressure to push the work onwards.
